Description

Sunset by the Pond

Shot by a pond in our local countryside earlier this year. It's a hotspot for fishing but luckily there wasn't anyone there during this visit! This is a blend of two exposures, one for the sky and one for the foreground (though I didn't lighten it too much, to try and catch the mood).

This was definitely one of those photographs that made me stop and stare. A total Wow factor! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/f/f…" width="18" height="17" alt=":faint:" title="I think I've fainted." />

The sun in the background gives off a warm glow to the landscape. It also adds a nice affect to the shadows as well, and highlights warm colours in the grass. The reflections in the water bring in a wicked touch, completing the photograph perfectly.

This shows true talent in capturing nature at its best moments. Not only does it take knowledge of a camera, it takes the eyes of a photographer to even spot something like this. How each component fits perfectly with each other.

Truly amazing job! By far my favorite from your gallery <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/a…" width="15" height="15" alt=":aww:" title="Aww" />
