Kitchen is all but done! 2 and a half weeks of craziness almost over. Woot. Computer still busted, going to try and do some DIY troubleshooting on it. Pray I don't electrocute myself.

I got some new equipment! A 55-200mm VR and then, the surprise of an antique tripod from a friend of mine. It's a Velbon. I fancied one since I tried his, it has an integrated ball-and-socket head with portrait position, easy screw-in mount (faster than a quick-release plate I find). Solid metal. Quick deployment. And most importantly for me, it doesn't have that blessed crossbar that modern tripods insist on having that makes them near impossible to position on a slope.

So I'm happy!

Right, stop putting it off! Time to sift through my favs once again and get some featuring done.
